RRA PETITION FOR TRAFFIC-CALMING MEASURES

The Randridge Residents Association (RRA) is petitioning the City of Johannesburg and the Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) to investigate speeding and road-safety concerns in our suburb, and to implement appropriate traffic-calming measures, including speed humps where these are deemed suitable following the required traffic and engineering assessment.

Residents have raised concerns about vehicles travelling at excessive speeds along residential roads in our area, creating a potential safety risk for pedestrians, children, cyclists, residents and other road users.

The JRA assesses requests for traffic-calming measures against applicable engineering and traffic-safety criteria. Your support will demonstrate that there is significant concern among residents directly affected by the current traffic conditions.
