🌟 Stronger Together: The 3rd Annual RRA Market & Family Day 🌟
On Saturday, 11 July 2026, Loerie Park in Randpark Ridge transformed into a vibrant hub of joy, creativity, and connection as the Randridge Residents’ Association proudly hosted its 3rd Annual Market & Family Day. Under the warm winter sun, families, friends, and neighbours came together to celebrate what makes our community truly special: Good Food, Great Fun, and Stronger Togetherness.
🎶 Atmosphere That Sparkled
From the moment the gates opened at 9AM, the park buzzed with excitement. Music filled the air, laughter echoed across the grounds, and the scent of sizzling food drifted through the stalls. It wasn’t just an event — it was a festival of belonging, where every smile and handshake reminded us that Randpark Ridge is more than a suburb; it’s a family.
🛍️ Market Magic
The stalls were nothing short of spectacular. Residents browsed an incredible variety of goods:
- Handmade jewellery, clothing, and knitwear
- Candles, skincare, and bath products
- Plants, garden décor, and household treasures
- Quilts, artwork, personalized printing, and table linens
- Fresh honey, eggs, sauces, biscuits, and pickled onions
It felt less like shopping and more like treasure hunting, with each stall offering something unique and crafted with love.
🍴 A Feast for the Senses
Food was the heartbeat of the day. Curries, biryanis, bunny chows, falafels, chilli bites, waffles, ice cream, boerewors rolls, and steaming coffees tempted even the most disciplined dieters. The aroma alone was enough to draw crowds, and judging by the queues, no one left hungry.
Our very own RRA Top Chef Directors added flavour to the festivities, serving boerewors rolls so irresistible that they became the talk of the park.
🎁 Raffles, Prizes & Community Champions
Graeme Hamilton Reid and Chas Everitt brought colour and excitement with raffles and face painting, while top-class gift hampers created a buzz of anticipation. Their involvement reflects ongoing dedication to our suburb, showing how local businesses uplift the community when they join hands with residents.
🎈 Fun for All Ages
Children were spoiled for choice:
- Jumping castle adventures
- Balloon animals and face painting
- Paintball shoot range thrills
- A live Fire Department demonstration that sparked imaginations
🐾 Furry Friends Welcome
Dogs Trust and the SPCA made sure our four-legged companions weren’t left out. With vaccinations, treats, and animal welfare education, pets wagged their tails in delight. For many, it was a reminder that community spirit extends to every member of the family — paws included.
🍰 Bake With Meaning
One of the most heartfelt highlights was the Bake With Meaning cake table. Each baked good carried a story of love, memory, or gratitude. Buyers left not only with sweet treats but with touched hearts — some tears of joy quickly followed by a second slice.
🙌 A Celebration of Spirit
The day was a resounding success thanks to:
- Vendors who brought creativity and passion
- Volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes
- Performers who kept the energy alive
- Residents who brought laughter, warmth, and connection
Together, we turned an ordinary Saturday into an extraordinary celebration of community pride.
✨ Good Food. Great Fun. Stronger Together. ✨
