We’re thrilled to share some exciting updates since we took over as the new Directors for the RRA! 🎉 We’ve welcomed 14 new members and have 15 more potential members on the horizon. To grow our community, we’re focusing on new residents and working closely with real estate agents. Keep an eye out for new neighbours moving in!

We often are asked by prospective members what the benefits are to becoming a member of the RRA so we thought it a good time to remind our members and non-members of the advantages of being a member of the RRA.

Membership benefits include:

    • New RRA members qualify for a 12 months free ProForce home security contract.
    • Existing members qualify for discounted monthly rate to Proforce security for their personal property.
    • Direct telephonic access to the ProForce response vehicle.
    • Assistance with any security related matters through ProForce’s technical and security teams.
    • Security Alerts and crime “Flash Reports” and are sent out exclusively to members on our community WhatsApp groups.
    • Assistance with escalating members’  municipal service issues that have been previosuly reported wtihout successful resolution. Proactive reporting of municipal issues within the community is also managed by the RRA.
    • Access to the RRA Commnunity WhatsApp groups where you will be notified and updated of all municipal related issues as well as RRA initiatives and community engagements.
    • Business owners receive a free listing on our website and discounted rates for advertising in our newsletter and social media pages.
    • Access to the RRA marketing and referrals group where residents and business owners can promote and sell products and services to a community of over 300 households.
    • Membership signage board and vehicle stickers  identifying you as an RRA member.
    • Common areas serviced and maintained by a gardener weekly, keeping our neighbourhood well kept.
    • Membership to the RRA is R550/month.

The RRA offers plenty of ways to connect such as:

  • our Ladies Club run by Lorraine Franklin, which meets every two months for fun and laughter;
  • our Running Club led by Belinda Munger every Sunday
  • our Seniors’ Club led by Theo and Pauline Kaschula and;
  • our Marketing and Referrals WhatsApp group, managed by Colleen, which is a great way to advertise your business and find local services.

This year we’re planning to kick off our street braais in February, working with street leaders to bring everyone together.

We’re also looking to start a book club, gardening club and organize several community events throughout the year, including Love Your Pavement, Fun Runs/Walks, Market Day, Trick or Treat and Carols by Candlelight.

With more members, we aim to further enhance our neighbourhood safety through the installation of additional speed bumps and cameras while also focusing on ongoing maintenance efforts.

So why not join us in making our community even better!
